What we do
Citizen education
This research area is based on a commitment with the world to educate persons that make decisions for the common good, justice, and that have the competence to undertake initiatives to improve the quality of the environment.
It is considered that education is the main medium by which one can advance towards a citizen democracy which goes farther than electoral citizenship. Therefore, in this line is found: to generate learning opportunities that favor citizenship practice, by means of a participative methodology in which children and youth fulfill initiatives that will improve the quality of their own environment, and develop citizen and democratic capabilities. We are looking for this strategy to be congruent with present day pedagogy, focused to involve the students participation in the construction of his-her own learning.
