ViaEducation, Mexico chapter, nowadays work over different initiatives that covers from the design of programs to improve the educational quality up to citizen education programs that goes from the design up to the implementation and evaluation of different levels (basic and superior education).

Educational Opportunities.
The Guadalupe School receives children with economical limitations. Some of them commute 2 hours to get to school in the state of Nuevo Leon, Mexico. A plan was begun with the goal of offering a real opportunity to improve their educational quality.

Greater than one.
With the goal of accomplishing Mission 2015, the Technological School of Monterrey, developed the Citizen Formation area. Its core course, “Citizen formation and social commitment”, designed by Via Education, with the collaboration of professors of the Technological School, uses the learning-service didactic technique. The students also learn the citizen conceptual frame and fulfill social participation initiatives in diverse communities where they follow a strategy that hopes to build local capabilities and empowering persons so that they improve their environment? quality (participative sustainable system).

Young citizens.
The Student Council of the Guadalupe Primary School fulfilled a consultation in which they observed that what the majority of the persons wanted to improve was the high temperatures in the classroom environment.

Fernando Reimers from Harvard University will direct an investigation on Civic education in collaboration with ViaEducation.

Sustainability indicators.
Just as other processes are evaluated by ViaEducation, through one of it members, there in collaboration with CEMEX, a social responsible enterprise in the definition of sustainability indicators and measuring its results at a worldwide level.
